Preparation Method (per 35g packet - serves 4-5 persons):

1. Cut 400g boneless chicken or beef into thin, bite-sized strips (approx. 2-inch long)

2. Marinate meat with 1 tbsp Shan Chinese Beef/Chicken Chilli Mix and 1 tbsp cornflour. Set aside for 15 minutes

3. Heat 6-8 tbsp oil in a wok or large frying pan on high heat

4. Add marinated meat and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until cooked through. Remove and set aside

5. In the same wok, add 1 tbsp chopped garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds

6. Add sliced vegetables: 1 onion (cubed), 1 capsicum (cubed), 2-3 green chilies (slit lengthwise). Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes on high heat

7. Return cooked meat to the wok

8. Dissolve remaining Shan Chinese Beef/Chicken Chilli Mix in ½ cup water and add to the wok

9. Stir-fry on high heat for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens and coats the meat and vegetables evenly

10. Add 2 tbsp tomato ketchup (optional, for extra tanginess)

11. Garnish with spring onions and serve hot
